Kids Savings Cub Account
The Berenstain Bears® Cub Account is a savings account specifically designed for kids aged 12 and younger. The program teaches your child the money management concepts of Save, Share, Spend and Earn so they can grow to make smart financial decisions!
Cub Account Features:
- Get a free gift at account opening: “The Berenstain Bears® Visit the Credit Union” book
- Free Cub Passport Earn passport stamps by completing money tasks. Complete all tasks to receive $100 deposited into your Teen Checking Account at age 13
- For example, make your first deposit and get a stamp!
- Free Kids financial literacy newsletter mailed to the child
- Cub Account members and their parents can visit cubclubonline.com for games and other fun activities.
How to Open a Cub Account:
We want to help kids develop smart, healthy financial habits, so we make it easy to open a Cub Account at Kellogg Credit Union. Just have the following during account opening:
- Adult: A parent, guardian, or adult relative must be present to open a Cub Account.
- Identification: We require a SS card or Birth Certificate for the minor at time of account opening. As joint owner, you'll also need your photo ID.
- Deposit: Our Cub Account requires a $25 minimum opening balance!
- Existing Kids Club accounts can be converted to the Cub Account - Call us for details!
